James Avery Palais Rouge Collection & the Christmas Poinsettia

This season is all about gift giving and reflecting on our many blessings, and as we near Christmas, one of my favorite traditions, besides setting up our nativity scene and Christmas tree, is picking out a poinsettia at church. Since I was little my family has always purchased one. They arrive at the church and fill the front with their beauty, and then on the designated day, we were invited to pick ours out, and take it home. This year I am doing the same from the church that Jhonathan and I attend. I have always loved the rich red of the blooms and leaf-like design. The shape is thought to be a symbol of the Star of Bethlehem which guided the Wise Men to Jesus, and the color symbolizes the blood of Christ. Learning of these ties to the Poinsettia has only enhanced my love for the flower and this tradition over the years.

When I saw the Palais Rouge collection at James Avery I knew the shade reminded me of something, but I could not put my finger on it until I was at my local nursery and saw all of the velvety red poinsettias. That was it! When James Avery introduced this stone and design it reminded me of the holidays, a perfect touch of red to finish any look and make it seasonal, but in a subtle way. And now to associate it with my love for the Christmas Poinsettia makes me enjoy the collection even more. The red stone and beautiful facets give off the perfect amount of shine with the sterling silver of the upmost quality you come to expect from James Avery. I have been wearing my ring everyday and smile every time I get a glance of it. It reminds me of the holiday season, Jesus’ birth and the Christmas Poinsettia.

So if you are looking for a beautiful gift to give this season or also have a love for poinsettias and the color red this is the perfect collection for you! And yes, I am partial of the color red, but the Palais collection also comes in an array of other beautiful shades so if you love the design, I am sure there is a favorite for you no matter your color preference.
