What I Wore: NYFW F/W20 Edition

Here is a quick lookbook of the outfits I planned, packed, and wore during Fashion Week this past February. I went with neutral tones and a 70’s inspired vibe. Honestly, I usually have one favorite look that stands out above the rest, but this year I loved all of the looks so much! Everything was comfortable and easy to wear all day – which is super important when it’s rainy, cold and you have to walk a lot! So without further ado, here are the looks!

NYFW S/S20′ Lookbook

With Feb Fashion Week just a few weeks away, I wanted to share my lookbook with you from last September. These were the outfits I attended shows, meetings and parties in, most of which are from Boohoo.com! Check out all of the details below.

NYFW S/S 2020 Trendspotting

This September fashion week was go-go-go with shows, meetings and lots of trendspotting which we are getting into now! So if you are here for the fashion, this post is for you!

Mommy + Me Outfits

This trend actually made an appearance at a few of the shows I attended, but my favorites were by KavenLiu DIMOR presented at the NOLCHA shows. Each piece just matched seamlessly and was both stylish and age-appropriate for child and mom which I love! – Usually one looks off. Amazing job on this entire collection! Click the images below to see the final walks.

NYFW F/W 19′ Lookbook

This was my second February Fashion Week to attend so I learned for year one that the chances of rain are high…as is wind and chilly temps, so I came prepared! Here I will share a glimpse at the looks that I brought all from Boohoo, and all packed in a single carry-on per usual – enjoy!

NYFW F/W 19′ Trend Spotting

This February I had the pleasure of attending many shows during fashion week ranging from formals to streetwear. Here are the trends I spotted and will be anticipating this Fall and Winter seasons.

Shows featured that I attended include: Alessandro Trincone, Fashion Hong Kong, Yuna Yang, Oxford Fashion Studio, and Artistix.

Metallics and Silks

Lots of shimmer and shine will be in! I noticed so many dresses, blouses and jackets in silky materials and metallic metal shades.

Blushes

Beautiful feminine pinks and florals were also prominate at the shows, which I very much look forward to as I love wearing light pinks in the winter.

Bright Greens & Blues

Another trend I noticed popping up in the streetwear and modern shows were blues and greens. These colors were also blocked and incorporated in futuristic dimensional pieces which was really interesting.

Statement Sleeves

I am so excited to see this trend is not going anywhere! Statement sleeves have seriously been one of my favorite trends the past few seasons so to see them still sticking around was thrilling!

Tulle, Feathers & Colorless Palettes

Tiered tulle skirts, dresses and feather accents were prominent as well which should be fun! These soft feminine textures were seen in whites, grey and blacks. I noticed a lot of pieces were featured in these colorless shades which sort of makes the pieces timeless no matter the silhouette, which I love.

I hope you enjoyed this roundup of trends and look forward to seeing how everyone implements them into their wardrobe this fall!

Trend Spotting at NYFW S/S 2019

While at fashion week I had the pleasure of attending a variety of shows from streetwear to cocktail attire, there were so many trends to take in! Here I will be sharing a snapsnot of the shows I attende as well as some of my favorite pieces and favorite trends to keep on the lookout for this upcoming spring and summer, enjoy!

Metallics, silks, textured sheers, embroidery, and shades of yellow and emerald were popping up everywhere! I also saw lots of statement sleeves so don’t believe that trend will be going out anytime soon!

Below you will see some of my faves from the following shows presented during NYFW.

NYFW S/S 2019 Outfits & How I Fit Everything in a Carry-on!

So you guys know I only travel with a carry on, so for fashion week this can really test my limits and skills as a light packer. If you are interested in a breakdown of how I travel with only a carry on check out the post I did for Rome! My techniques are the same, the only difference is that I now take my Andiamo Classico, which is seriously the BEST investment for any traveler.

So on to the looks!

NYFW Streetwear Style

For NY street style I went with red, black and white this season. These two looks were my favorite for comfort and style and the pieces are seriously so transitional! You can create so many looks with these staple pieces!

Look 1 is white leather booties, ripped jeans in a light wash, and a bright red sweater. For accessories I added tights, a knit beret, red lipstick, and a leopard skinny belt. These pieces combine to make a fierce look ready to take on the city.

Look 2 is a completely black and white look constructed of this off the shoulder sweater, fleece lined faux leather pants, black and white booties from ASOS, a faux croco bag, and knit beret. The mix of textures and the contrast of black and white make this look really pop!

F/W NYFW Day 4

Sunday

Ennyluap

This line was elegant clean lines of beauty and ready to wear style.

Nolcha Shows

Thanks to THB Marketing House I was offered front row seating at the 4pm Nolcha showcase. This was such an honor for me, and it could have not been for a better show! I had the opportunity to see 7crash which brought an innovative futuristic line to fashion week. Also featured at this show was Lavanya Coodly. Her beadwork was breathtaking!

And the last show I attended for fashion week was Negris Lebrum. This line was full of luxe textures and all black ensembles with a 70’s feel and a mix of gold and burgundy.

F/W NYFW 2018 was incredible and full of innovative and classic fashion! Hope you loved my recap and I cannot wait for September! A very special thanks to THB Marketing House, The Riviere Agency, and Ecru New York for making this fashion week so amazing!

F/W NYFW Day 3

Saturday

Saturday started bright and early with the Dan Liu show at Spring Street. This show was James Bond themed and the clothing was so beautiful, definitely my style! I loved the scarf and sunglasses used to finish off the looks.

Following Dan Liu we were off to Misha Kaura. This was a presentation, so we got to see all of the looks at once and walk up to get closer angles of the pieces. The embellishments were exquisite and I especially loved the bright reds and warm purple hues.

Late in the afternoon Jhonathan and I attended the Yuna Yang show. This was in a walkup which gave the show a cozy feel. I loved the headwear and belt accessories she used to finish her pieces and really loved her outerwear pieces.

In the evening I attended the CAAFD’s Collective Showcase. This show not only offered amazing fashion, but also musical entertainment to build excitement for the showcase.
