Summer is almost here which means cute warm-weather clothes! I was lucky enough to have an amazing getaway for spring break with my soon to be sister-in-law for her bachelorette party to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico so I picked out some of the cutest pieces from Red Dress, and wanted to show you how I styled them to get you inspired for looks to rock this Summer!
Wow in a Watercolor Kimono
This maxi length semi-sheer kimono is absolutely gorg! There is a tie so you can wear it closed as a swimmie cover-up or open with an outfit as I have done here. The colors are neutral so you can wear it with pretty much any solid color. Here I have paired it with a white crop top and my favorite $15 shorts from Target.
Summer is here and that means a little less accessories for me. For these warmer months I tend to find everyday pieces and stick to those – only changing out earrings with my looks. With the heat here in Houston, it’s all about the shorts, flowy cotton dresses and oversized sunnies. With that said, I still love to make a statement, even if it is subtle. That’s why I fell for this elegant petite script ring from James Avery. It is one of those simple pieces you can wear everyday, but adds such a special touch to your look! This ring is offered in a wide range of sizes, even small enough to wear as a midi ring! I went with my initial, and chose it for my pinky. I have always wanted a pinky ring with my initial but I didn’t want it to look manly so, when I found this piece on the James Avery website it went right into the cart. This outfit is pretty much my summer weekend wardrobe. High waisted shorts and a flowy cotton top. I went for a classic black and white palette to tie this look together with silver accessories including my double buckle belt. This shows how truly versatile a ring like this can be! I wore it with something extremely casual and it still looks as perfect as it would with an evening dress. When summer vacation time rolls around destination poolside is in effect! With that said, finding the perfect poolside gear is pretty important to us girlies! We want to feel confident, fashionable and basically like a sunkissed goddess in whatever we will be wearing, so here I’ll be sharing the look I wore to the Hotel Alessandra for a total vacation luxe poolside ensemble.
I wanted one bold color for this look and went with this fiery orange shade and paired it with black and white. This is the cutest little dress for the warm weather! With stripes and a statement sleeve and hem this piece is super girly and adorable! I styled it with rose gold mirrored sunnies, wedges and a bright embroidered clutch.
This outfit is all about the accessories and the sleeves on this top! I tied in the fire coral/orange to the beaded elements on the sleeve and it really pops with the navy and white stripes.
And lastly I wanted to share this cool blue poncho! This look is perfect for summer, yet I know the thought of a poncho or layering piece in the summer seems strange but in a light color and cotton construction, its perfect! I also paired it with white jeans to keep this look light and fresh!
With summer officially here and swimsuit season in full swing, I thought it would be the perfect time to share a swim look with you all! Now in saying that, I would like to add that I have not shared a swimsuit picture before. That is not to say that I am ashamed, but that I understand I am not a size zero, nor am I super toned as most of the fashion bloggers are in their swim shots, so I did have some hesitation in sharing swim looks but with a brand like Femme De La Mer, I had no worries! This swimsuit brand creates ultra flattering, well constructed suits that leave you feeling your ultimate best at the beach, poolside or in my case, a photoshoot.
Their suits are double lined and have seams in all of the right places. The material holds firm and does not dig. I also love the leg hole design as it is created to prevent ride-up! Once I slipped on this suit all of my hesitations, nerves, and insecurities went away! I love how flattering Femme De La Mer suits are on and couldn’t recommend them more! Seriously, not only is the quality amazing but the design and utter confidence you feel when wearing the suit totally make it worth it – which is why I had to share this brand with you guys!

On a recent trip to Forever 21 I stumbled across this dress and immediately fell in love with it! It reminds me so much of the 40’s and I had to have it! The length, tapered collar, button front, tie waist and floral print all add to its charm. This dress is super lightweight and perfect for the warmer temps!
For accessories I wanted to keep this look pretty casual so I styled it with espadrille wedges (similar), my faux tortoise Quay sunnies and to tie the look together I added a bright classic red lip. Seriously I’m obsessed with this style, and will be on the hunt for more dresses with this silhouette in the near future!
While if New Mexico we traveled out to the Bisti Badlands and of course I needed a few pictures here before we started our adventuring. 😉 So this look is so light, airy and perfect for the summer and late spring. The beautiful turquoise color of the dress looks perfect with all skin tones and hair shades! I point this out because I recently dyed my hair back to its natural color and have noticed certain colors I would wear as a blonde I might not feel it looks as flattering on a brunette and vice versa. But this color is perfect for everyone for the season.
This is another dress I ordered from Boohoo and I love the boho feel of this piece. It looks beautiful with cool tone jewelry such as silvers and blues, and even shades of taupe for accessories. Here I paired it with a taupe felt hat from Jessica Simpson, this beautiful silver mesh watch from Vincera and sparkling silver rhinestone sandals. This Boohoo dress is great quality and was an amazing price so be sure to get it before it sells out if you are interested in it! I really love this dress and am sure I will be wearing it on repeat this season!
While exploring Old Town Albuquerque I wore this beautiful floral peasant maxi dress, and seriously received so many complements in it! It is such a flattering and comfortable dress! I must also add that it is totally travel friendly. The weight of the fabric is ideal as it does not wrinkle so you can literally pull it out of your luggage and put it on.
The dress was perfect for the desert climate as it has long sleeves and a breezy full skirt.
I paired this dress with a few pieces of my grandmother’s vintage silvery jewelry and simple slip-on sandals. This dress is a warm shade of navy and covered in a lush floral print which means you can wear it all day and not have to worry about changing for the evening.
This dress can be accessorized for a boho or southwestern look and is priced so well I am sure it will sell out soon! I purchased it for just over $30! – yes, that’s right, I know sounds crazy! So if you love it, be sure to order soon or you might miss out!
I am so excited high-waist shorts are becoming more and more available because they are just so comfortable and cute to wear! These in particular are cloth material in a neutral striped pattern. I love the paper bag waist with tie sash and wide leg openings – when shorts fit more relaxed, they look more flattering!
For this fun, sunny day look, I paired these Forever 21 shorts with a vintage button down chambray oxford shirt that was my grandmothers, (similar linked) these super comfortable lace up wedges from Vionic, and my favorite summer bamboo clutch! This look is perfect for weekends and brunch! I just love how light and airy this look is and chambray looks amazing with stripes! For final accessories, I am wearing these lightweight mother-of-pearl style earrings from OSOS and my faux tortoise Quay sunnies!
