Remembering with James Avery

For those of you who have been following me for quite some time know that I lost my grandmother last year. This was very hard on me as we are like the same person. Same stubbornness, same humor, same love for sweets and honestly we looked quite a bit alike as well! I know that she will always be with me and that I will always cherish the memories we shared, but I really wanted something special to have that when I saw it, or wore it, it would be for her. Now this line is not just for someone who has passed, it can be for anyone who is special to you! The pieces all come with a gemstone in the center which correlates of their birthday. Since my grandmother was born in November I went with the citrine stone which is JA November stone. Faith was always the foundation and center of my grandmother’s life which is why I chose the cross pendant. I wear this necklace for her, but also as a reminder of my faith and all that she instilled in me growing up. It’s a lovely way to celebrate her each and every time I wear it.

About The Look

With fall just around the corner, I couldn’t wait start wearing my cold weather sweaters! Since I couldn’t wait, I needed to put together a look that would be transitional – as a chunky knit sweater, jeans and boots seems extremely out of place in Houston right now. So I instead, incorporated my sweater with light shades of whites and nudes in the form of a denim skirt and ankle sock booties.
