A Very James Avery February

February is the month to share the love with everyone you “heart”, even yourself, so for this month filled with all things love I decided on selecting myself a gorgeous pair of statement earrings from James Avery.

In this post, I will be sharing 2 ways I styled the Venetian Frame Hoop Earrings in sterling silver. One look is casual, and the other is fun and dramatic to show just how versatile these earrings are!

ARC Review: A Brighter Smile On-the-Go

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of ARC. All opinions are 100% mine.

Anytime I can find a way to save time, or make something more convenient and efficient I am all ears – and yes that includes my beauty routine! So when I found out about ARC has a new whitening pen, I had to give it a try!

My 2020 Beauty Secret

A special thank you to NeoCell for sponsoring this post and letting me review their product.

Beauty Regimen

Every year I try to incorporate a new beauty treatment to add to my regimen. This started a few years back with something as simple as taking my makeup off every night, and over the years I have added on things like weekly masks, PM eye cream, teeth whitening, hair treatments, moisturizers, etc. But for some reason taking a vitamin or supplement never dawned on me, so when NeoCell reached out, I knew that was going to be my new beauty regimen addition for 2020.

So, what is NeoCell Super Collagen Powder?

First, NeoCell offers a variety of products, but this particular powder promotes healthy hair, skin, nails and joint support! It’s a mixable blend that can be added to your favorite beverage with just one scoop a day, which is super convenient and means you don’t have to feel like you are taking vitamins, or even change up your routine! You can literally add it to whatever you already drink on the daily.  This powder comes in 3 flavors so that blending is so much better depending on the time of day you plan on taking it, and here I will share a few of my favorite ways to incorporate NeoCell Super Collagen into my day.

With Feb Fashion Week just a few weeks away, I wanted to share my lookbook with you from last September. These were the outfits I attended shows, meetings and parties in, most of which are from Boohoo.com! Check out all of the details below.

NYFW S/S 2020 Trendspotting

This September fashion week was go-go-go with shows, meetings and lots of trendspotting which we are getting into now! So if you are here for the fashion, this post is for you!

Mommy + Me Outfits

This trend actually made an appearance at a few of the shows I attended, but my favorites were by KavenLiu DIMOR presented at the NOLCHA shows. Each piece just matched seamlessly and was both stylish and age-appropriate for child and mom which I love! – Usually one looks off. Amazing job on this entire collection! Deck the Halls with King of Christmas

Since Jhonathan and I moved in together 7 years ago we have had a few different places, and Christmas trees. Our first apartment was only 601 square feet, which meant I went small with a 4-foot tree. It was so tiny, but perfect for the size apartment we had at the time, and since then, we have upgraded our tree a few times. Starting with that tree, and every year since, I have stayed with the same color scheme and “theme” of décor and ornaments for my tree, just purchasing additions every year as the tree got bigger!

This year I had the opportunity to partner with King of Christmas and pick out this amazing prelit 8-foot Prince Flocked tree and I couldn’t be more excited to once again expand our ornament collection, and add this tree to our home for many years to come! This is my first ever flocked tree! Growing up I always wanted to flock our tree to make it look snowy but my mom didn’t want to deal with all the mess. But now that I am on my own I can have the snowy tree of my dreams! I love that there are options now for pre-flocked artificial trees so you get the beautiful tree without all of the work or mess to make it that way!

Making a List, & Checking it Twice with James Avery

This year I have checked many names off of my Christmas shopping list with beautiful pieces from James Avery. You can never go wrong with a sterling piece from their collection, as each is crafted of the highest quality and is made to stand the test of time. The pieces they create are special to each individual as they can represent a shared memory, accomplishment, or just to say I love you – which are just a few reasons why they make the best gifts!

James Avery Palais Rouge Collection & the Christmas Poinsettia

This season is all about gift giving and reflecting on our many blessings, and as we near Christmas, one of my favorite traditions, besides setting up our nativity scene and Christmas tree, is picking out a poinsettia at church. Since I was little my family has always purchased one. They arrive at the church and fill the front with their beauty, and then on the designated day, we were invited to pick ours out, and take it home. This year I am doing the same from the church that Jhonathan and I attend. I have always loved the rich red of the blooms and leaf-like design. The shape is thought to be a symbol of the Star of Bethlehem which guided the Wise Men to Jesus, and the color symbolizes the blood of Christ. Learning of these ties to the Poinsettia has only enhanced my love for the flower and this tradition over the years.

Date Night At the Opera with Houston Grand Opera

A special thank you to the Houston Grand Opera for hosting Jhonathan and I for the evening.

Why the Opera?

Last year I was introduced to opera. I have always been exposed to the arts since I have very young, attending Museum of Fine Arts exhibits, attending plays and broadway musicals, the symphony, and the ballet..this list goes on and on, but I had never been to the opera! So I had the opportunity to see La Boheme and was completely blown away. The opera offers singing, acting, all while a live score is being played.

Date Night Begins!

Jhonathan and I had the date night of all date nights at the opera, a few weekends ago celebrating the start of the season at Houston Grand Opera, with the opener of Rigoletto, followed by the HGO annual gala. Now this night was not a “normal” night at the opera, it was on a much grander scale, but I can give you a bit of what all this night entailed, and what to expect at a performance throughout the season.
